Wedding Magician · Marbella

Wedding magician Marbella, for a guest list that flew in from six different airports.

British close-up magic and mind reading for a wedding in Marbella, worked straight into the drinks reception while your two guest lists are still working out who’s who. No stage, no microphone, no warning. Just sunshine, and a lot of people quietly checking their pockets.

Everything’s in English. Nothing’s in the script.

Half your guests have never met the other half. Give it twenty minutes.

Vows: done. Photos: done. Now for the awkward bit.

And then everyone just… stands there.

Groups who travelled together but don’t really know each other yet, each one holding a drink and quietly discussing their flight.

Which is usually where I turn up.

Ten minutes later, someone’s holding a lemon that apparently contains their own wedding ring, and nobody remembers taking it off.

It’s not really about the tricks. It’s giving a terrace full of near-strangers a shared story before the meal’s even started, whether you’re saying “I do” in Marbella, up on the Golden Mile, or somewhere else along the Costa del Sol.
How It Works

He borrowed your wallet. You just haven’t noticed yet.

I don’t ask permission. I don’t really ask anything.

One second we’re just chatting near the bar. The next, your wallet’s in my hand and you’re working out how long it’s been gone.

Everything gets handed back, obviously. Just not before half the terrace has heard about it, in three or four different languages.

No Retakes

This is what actually happens

One camera, one drinks reception, zero rehearsal. This is a normal evening once he gets going.

Evidence No. 01

Genuine guests reacting in real time. Nobody was briefed, and nobody was paid to look surprised.

What Actually Happens Next

The bit where separate friend groups
quietly turn into one big one.

You could just hope the open bar does the work. This tends to be faster.

Twenty-five years of doing this.
Not the schedule on paper.
The one that actually happens.

Villa timings slip. Photographers run over. The “five-minute” group photo takes forty. None of that changes what I do, or when I do it.

The charm gets me through the door. The timing keeps me useful.

I can read a schedule that’s already come apart by four o’clock and still find the moment that works. That’s not really a trick. It’s hundreds of weddings’ worth of knowing exactly when to appear.

How The Job Goes Down

The plan.

Four steps. Very little paperwork.

01

Check the date

I check whether I’m already booked, then confirm back the same day, wherever you’re emailing from.

02

Quick call or email

Tell me the venue, roughly how the day’s running, and when you’d like things to get interesting. Time zones aren’t a problem.

03

I turn up

Smart suit, no crew, no set-up time. I just arrive and start working the room.

You enjoy the wedding

You look after your guests. I’ll handle the bit where several of them stop checking their pockets so often.

Meet Al

Alright, I’m Al. Most people call me Magic-Al.

Based between the UK and Spain, and increasingly busy on this side of it. Close-up magic and mind reading, performed properly, close enough that nobody can blame the angle for what they just saw.

I work in English, which suits Marbella rather well, given how often the guest list is scattered across four or five countries and one shared holiday group chat. There’s no stage, no microphone, and no cue to look impressed. I just move through the reception, find the right moment, and let people work out for themselves what’s just happened to their belongings.

Twenty-five years of doing this means I know when a group wants more, when to leave them be, and when the wedding planner three feet away is quietly panicking about the timings. I try not to add to that.

Book me and you get someone who turns up on time, dresses properly, and understands exactly how much organising a wedding from another country already involves. I’m meant to be the easy part.

Covering Marbella

Marbella’s the home patch. The rest of the Costa del Sol comes with it.

Villa wedding out past San Pedro? Five-star place up on the Golden Mile? A finca where the WiFi is optimistic at best? All familiar territory. I own a suit that survives the heat, and I’ve made peace with hire-car air conditioning that has strong opinions of its own.

This covers close-up wedding magic across Marbella and along the Costa del Sol, worked among your guests rather than performed at them from a stage. If you’re looking to hire a wedding magician in Marbella who gets a genuine reaction rather than a polite one, that’s the whole idea.

Still deciding on a venue? Andalusia’s official tourism board has a decent overview of the Costa del Sol if you haven’t settled on an area yet.

Marbella’s the focus here, but the same close-up magic covers weddings right across the country. See wedding magician in Spain for the wider picture.

Before You Ask

Questions. Answered honestly.

01When during a Marbella wedding does the magic work best?
The drinks reception is the classic slot, while everyone’s outside with a glass in hand and nothing scheduled for twenty minutes. The gap between the ceremony and the evening, and the stretch after the meal, both work nearly as well.
02Do you perform during dinner?
No. Guests need their hands and their attention free, not busy with a knife, fork and something delicious. I work around the meal rather than during it, so the drinks reception, the room turnaround or the evening reception instead.
03Are you an English-speaking wedding magician?
Yes, British and English-speaking throughout. That suits Marbella particularly well, since a large share of weddings here are British couples, English-speaking couples, or guest lists where English ends up being the common language by default.
04Can you entertain an international guest list?
That’s most of them. Close-up magic doesn’t depend on shared vocabulary, so a terrace with six nationalities in it reacts exactly the same as a room full of old friends. Confusion is optional. The reaction isn’t.
05Do you work at villas and hotels, or just certain venue types?
Villas, boutique hotels, beach clubs, private terraces, whatever the drinks reception happens to be standing on. It’s close-up and portable, so it adapts to the space rather than the other way round.
06How long should we book you for?
Most drinks receptions run around an hour of mingling, though it flexes around your timings. Tell me the shape of the day and I’ll suggest what actually makes sense rather than a default package.
07How far ahead should we get in touch?
As soon as the date and venue are locked in. Popular months along the Costa del Sol fill up early, so an earlier enquiry just means a better chance I’m actually free.
08Are you based in Spain, and do you cover the rest of the Costa del Sol?
I split time between the UK and Spain, and Marbella’s a regular fixture. Puerto Banús, the Golden Mile, San Pedro Alcántara and the wider coast are all covered too, so send over the venue and I’ll confirm travel straight away.
Last Call

Tell me when, and I’ll tell you if I’m free.

If you’d rather your reception had people genuinely reacting to things than making polite chat about the flight over, send across your date and venue.

I check the diary myself, and you’ll hear back from me directly, wherever in the world this finds you.

No call centre, no account manager, and nobody claiming to be my UK-based booking team. Just me, checking an actual calendar.
